It is a real privilege to be the Principal of Sunset Primary. As someone who grew up here in Rotorua, I feel both proud and excited to be leading a school with such a bright future ahead.

Sunset is a kura filled with energy, creativity, and a strong sense of community. Every day we see our tamariki showing curiosity, kindness, and resilience, supported by a passionate team of teachers and staff who are deeply committed to their success.

At Sunset, we provide rich opportunities for learning both inside and outside the classroom. From strong foundations in literacy and numeracy to sports, arts, leadership, and cultural experiences, our goal is to ensure every child feels confident, valued, and inspired to be their very best. We are proud of our diversity and our commitment to celebrating the strengths and identities of all learners.

Our school is more than just a place of learning — it is a whānau. We know that strong partnerships between home and school make a real difference, and we warmly welcome parents, caregivers, and families to be actively involved in the life of our kura.
