We endeavour to keep whanau informed through our school Facebook, website, notices, school newsletters sent home with your child and on the Skoolloop app (both accessible by clicking the buttons below )

  • Notices are sent out via your child as required.

Please check your child's bag daily. Children sometimes forget to pass on information. You can contact the principal by email (principal@sunset.school.nz) or email the school office (office@sunset.school.nz).

Teachers are encouraged to keep you informed through regular class newsletters/notices of class events and happenings. We encourage you to join our school Facebook page to keep in touch with what is happening. We also subscribe to the Skool Loop App where you can download newsletters and let the office know about any absences.

Reporting to parents:

  1. At the beginning of the year (by the end of week 6) we hold a meet the teacher evening. Please meet with us to ensure a great start to the year and to be involved in the learning plan of your child.
  2. You can expect a formal report: issued for each student in years 0 - 6 that are measured against curriculum levels.

Our teaching staff hold 'open-door' policies and welcome your support and participation in their classrooms.
